Luke started Preschool today! He wasn't so keen on getting dressed, but after that was done, he was ready to go!
He found his backpack and put it on - wore it in the car, too.
When we got there, he "cheese"d at the door before going in and made his way inside.
After hanging up his backpack and taking off his shoes, he went to his seat and was good to go...leaving me standing there looking like a lost mommy. I wasn't nearly as emotional as I thought I might be. In fact, at the moment I was so happy he didn't do anything crazy that I wasn't sure what to do next. Lucy and I came home and puttered until it was time to go pick up. Luke came out lined up with his class and ran to the car with the BIGGEST smile ever! YAY Miss Sommer - Good Job!!
We tried to have a picnic after school, but the wind was blowing and it was chilly - Luke and Lucy were happy to eat in the car:)

It's ok Melissa, Grandma will shed a tear for you...he is so grown-up now....sure do love him.
Zoey started Preschool today as well. Yay for school. Maybe I will be more sane without a child for a few hours.
Seriously!? He's old enough to go to school? He is very smart, it just seems like yesterday when I was baby sitting him while you went on your pack trip. I will tell Jack that his "best friend" had a good first day of school.
Wow-za!! 2 whole hours...without a child...DE lightful :)
