small miracles...

Luke had his one-year check up today. After spending some time at the mall with Aunt Lacee, Luke had managed to end up in the car with two binkies MIA. Upon arrival at the doctor's office, it dawned on me that Luke would be getting shots today and a binkie is a must. I mentioned to the nurse and she said she would get a sucker for him to pacificy himself with (great, thanks!!). Shortly after the nurse left, I remembered dropping a binkie in a pocket last week and thinking "I'll stick this in an unusual place so that I'll have one in an emergency." While getting shots isn't exactly an emergency, it's close. I checked the hidden pocket, and what to my surprise...a binkie - just in time for the doctor to arrive. Luke did fabulous with his checkup and only cried for a few seconds after his shots - thanks to his binkie!!

Thank Heaven for small miracles!!
